We're committed to respecting, protecting and promoting the human rights of all people in Queensland.

We have an obligation under the Human Rights Act 2019 to make decisions and act in ways that are compatible with human rights. When making a decision under a directive, policy or guideline, our decision-makers must comply with that obligation.

The HEDs set the conditions of employment for our health service employees engaged under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011.
