Terms and conditions for submitting an expression of interest - RMO campaign:

These terms and conditions govern your submission of the Queensland Health RMO Campaign Application Form (the “Form”) and your access to and use of the Form and related web pages. By using or submitting this Form, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. For the purposes of these terms and conditions a reference to personal information, is a reference to personal information as defined under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld); a reference to RMO is a reference to one of the following positions, junior house officer, senior house officer, principal house officers and registrar; and a reference to Queensland Health or we, is a reference to the State of Queensland acting through Queensland Health and the Hospital and Health Services as defined by ss 17 and 18 of the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld).

  1. You must complete all sections of the Form. If you do not complete the Form in its entirety, we may be unable to assess your suitability for an RMO position. The information provided by you will be retained for:
    1. the validity of the campaign (a period of up to 12 months); or
    2. indefinitely, if you become an employee of Queensland Health or a Hospital and Health Service.

    After the period outlined in 1(a) above has expired, you will need to submit a new Form to be considered for employment with Queensland Health.

  2. Personal information you provide in this Form will be used by Queensland Health for employment related purposes and/or to determine your suitability for employment within the public health system in Queensland. In addition, we may use your information for workforce planning or statistical purposes, however, any information will be de-identified for this purpose. We will not disclose your information for any other purpose unless we obtain your consent, or we are required or permitted to do so by law. You can apply for access to your information, contained in this Form, under the Information Privacy Act 2009(Qld).   3. The personal information provided by you on the Form will be used by Queensland Health or its agents for the following purposes, and by submitting the Form you are consenting to the personal information being used for these purposes:
    1. to determine your suitability for employment, including disclosing your personal information to professional and regulatory bodies to verify your qualifications and standing;
    2. to assess your application, including disclosing your personal information to specialist medical colleges and/or associated selection panels. Such selection panels may comprise of persons and organisations external to Queensland Health;
    3. to confirm placements with specialist medical colleges for workforce planning purposes, including providing personal information such as your name, date of birth and workplace location and/or employer to the specialist medical colleges for validation purposes. Note any selections to a vocational training pathway/network/centrally allocated programs are recommendations for employment and are still subject to pre-employment checks/processes.
    4. to confirm placements or selections with other Queensland Health facilities.
  4. All personal information will be securely stored and only accessible by appropriately authorised officers of Queensland Health or its agents.

  6. While Queensland Health endeavours to ensure that the online transmission of the Form containing your personal information over the internet is secure, the inherent nature of the internet means that there is a potential risk that your information may be viewed or intercepted by third parties. Accordingly, submission through the online Form shall be at your own risk and Queensland Health accepts no responsibility or liability for any unauthorised access to your information contained in the Form when it is submitted online over the internet.
  7. When you submit the Form online, you should receive an acknowledgement from Queensland Health that the Form has been sent, on the screen and via a confirmation email, following submission. Queensland Health accepts no responsibility or liability if this acknowledgement does not appear or we do not receive your online submission. Note that your application data is held at a secure offsite facility.
  8. Queensland Health makes no representation at the time the Form is submitted or any time in the future, that there is a suitable position or any position, available to you, or that you will be considered for a position. In addition, Queensland Health makes no representation that by submitting your Form you will be notified of any or all appropriate vacancies; offered an interview in relation to a vacant position; or be offered a position.
  9. You warrant that the information and supporting documentation you submit on this Form is true and correct at the time of submission. You also warrant that you have not submitted the Form on behalf of any other person.
  10. Queensland Health will not pay any fees for recruitment activities, to an external agency or third party, if you are recruited through this online system.
  11. You can only submit one application per year through the online system. Each application allows you to list your preferences for up to five positions. If you submit multiple applications in this online system within the period outlined in clause 1(a), your additional applications will be withdrawn and will not be considered for a position as part of the current campaign.
  12. You must advise the relevant Queensland Health authority as soon as possible if there are any changes to your medical registration details nominated in the Form.
