The Gold Coast has a bit of everything. There's beautiful beaches, warm weather, good surf. It's just an incredible place, really.

My life in Queensland actually seems to be a really great balance of hard but rewarding work, with some really great people and balanced perfectly with really fulfilling time off.

Queensland Health have been really great to work for. They've actually helped me a lot. From the very beginning with the sponsored visa and the relocation package, all the way through career development, I've had so many opportunities to learn and grow. My knowledge and my experience as a doctor has just broadened hugely since working in Queensland.

Here on the Gold Coast the culture is really supportive. Everyone feels encouraged to speak up and they feel like a really valued member of the team. It's really satisfying work. I really am proud of the job I do, I'm proud of the team I work with.

Living here in Queensland has given me the sort of work-life balance I'd always hoped for. The lifestyle just feels right here. It's possible to have a rewarding career, a fulfilling life and balance it with a really good family life without having to make any sacrifices.

Moving to the Gold Coast has been  one of the best decisions we ever made for our family.

I would say that Cairns is the closest thing that I've ever seen, to a Tropical Paradise.

It's just lovely here. I absolutely love the weather, I love the sunshine. I always seem to remember feeling cold in England, even in the Summer.

Coming here and not knowing anyone, my work colleagues quickly became a community for me.

I'm a clinical nurse, working with older people and I really believe that it's the little things that can make a big impact for them. The work makes me feel really valued. I really love what I do.

When I moved to Cairns, Queensland Health offered me a lot of support with visas and relocation costs, which was really helpful. They made the whole thing really easy.

I have the most amazing lifestyle here and working for Queensland Health has given me the perfect work-life balance, which I'm so grateful for.

Seeing my girls grow up here has  just been such a joy and that gives me so much peace.

I really believe that this is the place I'm  supposed to be. Sometimes, I can't believe I live here.

Brisbane is a big beautiful city with  a warm and welcoming heart. The people here are very lovely, they embrace you like family and just make you feel like you're at home. You're surrounded by beautiful nature, it's just a really beautiful place to live.

I grew up in Saskatchewan, so I moved to Queensland for the sunshine and I actually ended up finding much more than that.

I've got a great job, amazing friends, and a community around me that feels like family.

Working for Queensland Health has been great. I've always been supported in my career and I've been given lots of  opportunities to learn and grow.

The people I work with are wonderful, they've really become like another family to me.

I absolutely love my job. I feel like I'm paid very well and that means I get to have a great lifestyle.

Since moving here I feel feel like I've grown so much, I just feel like I'm a better version of myself.

If you're  thinking about moving to Queensland I would say  just do it. You'll be welcome with open arms and you'll just absolutely love living here. It's one  of the best decisions I've ever made.

In Roma there's a distinct wild kind of beauty. It's a special kind of atmosphere that you only really find in the outback.

I think the beauty also lies in the people, and it sounds a bit cheesy, but it's always the people that make  the place for me.

I moved to Queensland because there is an amazing opportunity to further my career in rural generalism, and just learn from the best, and learn how to be the best.

It's been such a rich and fulfilling experience. My skills have really developed since moving here, and it's really nice to be acknowledged for all your hard work.

It's great to have that gratitude fed back to you by the community.

The culture within the hospital is so wholesome and kind. My clinical experience has really expanded since moving here. I've been able to provide the kind of care that reminds me of why I got into medicine in the first place. Queensland Health has provided me with the opportunities to create the career and lifestyle that I want.

I'm sure I'd be a lot further in my career if I moved to Queensland sooner, but it's okay I got here in the end. I finally got my sunshine here in Queensland.

The Gold Coast is a place of endless opportunity. I love that the hinterland is on our back doorstep and the bustling city is right on the beach. It's just a really beautiful place.

I initially came to the Gold Coast on a holiday and I just fell  in love with the place. I loved it so much that I decided to move here and study midwifery. I started to create this wonderful life for myself and I just knew that this was home.

Where I lived in New Zealand I wasn't able to study midwifery. It just wasn't an option but when I moved to the Gold Coast I quickly discovered there were some really amazing opportunities for me to study.

Working for Queensland Health has been great. I have a wonderful job, I work with some amazing people and I've made lifelong friends. I just love what I do.

I feel like I get paid really well it means that I have this wonderful lifestyle. And I just feel really lucky.

If you're thinking of moving here, I would say just do it. You won't regret it. Moving to Queensland was the best decision of my life.

Brisbane's a big, beautiful city but with  a small town feel. It's been really easy for us to move here because we felt really welcome. It's just a really nice place to live.

Working for Queensland Health has been excellent. The move from overseas has been really easy and stress free. They've helped us out financially and made it a really good experience for me and my young family.

Working in vascular surgery is really unique. You get to see someone throughout their entire health journey. It's incredibly satisfying to know that you've contributed to every aspect of their healthcare.

I've been able to build really great relationships with my colleagues which is just such a nice feeling. Everyone's around for you, you have really great support and you never feel like you're on your own.

I think I've really grown both personally and professionally. As I've progressed through my career and my skills are constantly tested, I feel like that's made me a better doctor and personally I've been able to have a really nice work life balance. It means I can be there for my family watch them grow and that makes me really happy.

Any health professionals thinking about moving to Queensland should give it a try.

It's a great place to work and an even better place to live.

There's no doubt that clinically you'll progress and personally, you'll absolutely love it.
