>> Stacey:

So the plan was to move to Hervey Bay for one to two years and that was 12 years ago.

I get to live on this beautiful property, it’s only a 10 minute drive to work and so it’s an amazing lifestyle.

I’m a team leader for a local mental health service so my main role is to provide support to my team but I still get to do clinical work so I get to see people face to face and provide support. So working in a regional area our scope of work is much broader which has really increased my skill set which is a great advantage as a clinician.

When you spend so much time working with your colleagues it’s really important to provide support to them but also to be supported by them and I’m really proud of the work that we do together as a team.

Queensland Health has always supported me throughout my career. I’ve had amazing study opportunities and professional development has always been encouraged and supported.

Living somewhere that provides such an amazing work-life balance is a pretty special thing.

My income allows me to have this amazing lifestyle, to have this beautiful home and lets me live the life that I want to live. I absolutely love watching my boys have the freedom to run around. We’ve got the dog and we’ve got chooks roaming free. It’s a beautiful thing. It’s a beautiful place to live.
