As a podiatrist, you'll treat people of all ages with a wide range of needs and conditions including:
- high-risk foot care and management
- diabetic foot screening
- clinical neurovascular assessment
- wound care
- orthopaedic and biomechanical assessment and management
- renal
- paediatrics
- falls prevention.
Qualification and registration requirements
To practice as a podiatrist in Australia, you must be registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
International qualifications
If you're a podiatrist who qualified in another country, your qualifications will be assessed as part of the registration application process with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
