As an exercise physiologist, you'll provide advice and guidance on exercise and behaviour modification to assist in falls prevention, restore physical function, health, and wellness.
You'll work in multidisciplinary teams to treat conditions including:
- arthritis and osteoporosis
- diabetes and obesity
- cancer
- respiratory conditions
- cardiovascular disease
- neurological injury or conditions
- mental health
- gastrointestinal, renal and liver disease.
Qualifications
Exercise physiologists working in Hospital and Health Services must:
- have a university qualification in clinical exercise physiology, and
- be eligible for accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
